Meet Elizabeth
Hi! I’m Elizabeth West, CEO of EWC Consulting. I am originally from upstate New York, but moved to North Carolina after I graduated from the State University of New York at Potsdam.
In college, I thought my passion was to be a journalist. I have always loved talking to people and hearing their stories. I had the opportunity to see stories come to life when I was hired as an Admissions Counselor at UNC Pembroke right after college.
Even though I graduated, I never really left college. I found my calling in higher education.
In my 25 years in higher education, working with students and helping them become successful continues to be the greatest joy of my career.
I have spent 10 years of my career counseling students as an admissions officer, Associate Director of Admissions, and Director of Admissions. Then, I enjoyed 14 years of my career teaching college students and working with them on how to become transfer students.
Let my inside experience in higher education help you to the next level of your education. I am excited to talk with you about your admissions adventure!

I am relatable because I'm authentic. From my videos to the podcast, what you see/hear is what you get.

We were so fortunate to find EWC to help my son get his applications ready. Elizabeth was a godsend in getting his Early Action application in on time.
She guided my son expeditiously. I know we couldn't have done it without her.
